1423871 2016-07-31 03:38:00 Hi all..... my avatar, the beautiful Molly died last night in her sleep. She was 15 years and 8 months old. As the average lifespan for a Corgi is 12-14 years, she has done pretty well.

Doesn't make it any easier though, SWMBO and I are pretty bereft

1423873 2016-07-31 04:17:00 Hi Kenj. So sorry that you have lost Molly. I too had corgis, Tess and Bryn. Tess was the last to go at the end of February. I know how you feel and I do feel your sorrow.

Bryan.

1423877 2016-07-31 04:56:00 So sorry to hear of the loss of your Molly, Ken. Pets become such an integral part of our lives, and loss of them is no different to the loss of any loved one. Take care, both you and SWMBO. WalOne (4202)

1423879 2016-07-31 08:12:00 Yes - pets are very important in family life. As a family we even celebrated their birthdays! Sorry to hear of your loss.

I'm still trying to decide whether to get another cat at this stage or not. Any cat that I get now would probably outlive me...

Much the same here, although we never celebrated their birthdays. We lost our cat, Josie (a coat of many colours) after 16 years.
We do feel their loss, it's part of being a decent human being.
