She said if it lived as long as Molly I would be 90. Good logic I suppose. Ken There are always elderly dogs that for some reason or another need a new home for their final years. The downside is that they often need medical care that can be expensive, and then there is the grief of them dying on you. The upside is that they give you enjoyment and the knowledge that they have a happy last few years. Several of our dogs have come to us that way. Two have died of cancer, and the 13 year old Foxy cross we have had for 3 years has now been diagnosed with lung cancer. But he plays with our other dog and his other doggy friends and is happy for now. |

Our 'Dorgi' a Dachshund Corgi cross lived until she was 18 1/2, seemed as though we had her forever. Despite her short legs she was a mighty tramper, and she didn't take up much room in a sleeping bag :) We've had 6 Border Collies, all so clever, difficult to choose the best, but I suppose Jess was with us through our most active tramping years and there are many happy memories. |

| 1423886 | 2016-08-01 02:37:00 | We lost our Sparks 3 weeks ago, ( was 12 1/2) hardest thing was taking her to the vets for the last time :( She now sits in a box beside the TVCoincidence, my g/f's bichon also rests in a box of ashes beside her TV. She has a cute soft toy of the animal sitting on top of it given to her by her daughter. | Greg (193) | ||
| 1423887 | 2016-08-01 07:24:00 | So sorry to hear that kenj. Corgis are very Royal and loyal doggies. We used to have one in the 1980s. Our Shoni just dropped dead suddenly one day at aged 12.... It does take a long time to get over the loss of a "pet member of the family", but you will eventually...... Hope you have lots of very happy memories and photos of Molly to remind you of the loving connection you had with her. I am sad for you. :( LL. |

I have two cats which I have had since they were kittens. They are now getting on a bit. I have a large black and white tom cat who I call 'Horse' whom resembles my avatar. | Bobh (5192) | ||
