| 1423814 | 2016-07-30 06:05:00 | But how can the BBC doc's garner the attention of sufficient viewers if only on their Iplayer or what ever? Many kiwi's (er...NZ's) probably never heard of it. BBC ought to share it over many other platforms, via other channels like BBC World, which they seem to run night and day on Sky. Sam Neil ought to have pushed to widen the viewabilty... Numerous Palin's and Attenborough''s I have viewed on sky...they seem to reign on hosting BBC doc's. |

Birds predate on insects -- ? 2. Has anyone keen on 'Predator Free' considered the Second Law of Thermodynamics? |

I'll have the opportunity to bend the ear of Maggie Barry in person this coming week and I'll bring this to her attention. As well, I'll bring it to the attention of Hekia Parata with a suggestion the program be acquired for distribution to the schools. Stay tuned. |

| 1423817 | 2016-07-30 07:52:00 | I mainly use MS SSTP protocol VPN, there are numerous free VPN servers, so it's no big deal really, easy to set up, just login to the server to get username and current password. What I found with the BBC Iplayer Download program is that after around 12 - 13 MB have been downloaded at some abysmally low speed, the VPN can be disconnected and the download will continue at around up to 1.5MB/sec until complete, using ADSL2. I notice the BBC are blocking IP addresses from some UK VPNs as part of their ongoing battle against non UK visitors. :waughh: A suggestion could be to use a Mediterranean based VPN (at least that's their address of record), and provides a US VPN. I've never had a problem with them yet, and only the very occasional buffering on the BBC programs. ITV not a problem. The only problem I ever had with ITV was when they used to ask for a UK Postcode as proof you were connecting from the UK. I entered the Postcode for Buckingham Palace which worked until they woke up to that. Possibly ITV were sending direct mail letters to the householder at the postcode and received stern "we are not amused" replies :lol: |

I wouldn't bother with that idiot all she wants to do is wreck the school system and she is doing a mighty fine job of it too |

If the National Party were sincere in their eradication policy then they would already have been funding DOC appropriately rather than the miserly funding to date. NO it is all part of a clever release of feel good pre-emptive policies for the run up to the next election. Awaiting the next one with interest...........:devil |

No real new $, the govt has just reprioritised existing DOC allocation and given back what was reduced over last 6 years, plus said private investors will pay the bulk.. Why would they? Just the return of the GST from Tourism activities on or a associated Conservation land would do it….!! I'll run that past Maggie next week if I get the chance :devil |
