Here is the message Mail Delivery Subsystem <mailer-daemon@googlemail.com> 13:13 (3 hours ago) to me This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE. Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed: squken@gmail.com Message will be retried for 1 more day(s) Technical details of temporary failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the relay smtp.slingshot.co.nz [60.234.0.35]. The error that the other server returned was: 550-you are attempting to connect from an IP listed at 550 recent.spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net (209.85.192.173) This is repeated for three days and then the message disappears. How do I solve this problem? |

| 1426753 | 2016-10-01 05:38:00 | The 550 Relay error is usually caused if you are trying to send out mail from a different ISP than your own. Meaning depending on how the mail is set if using a Spark internet connection, yet your Own ISP is Slingshot it will throw its toys out and say no way. Could also be that spammer ( as freed posted) are causing the problem, and there's some sort of blocking in place. What Protocol are you using, Eg: pop. IMAP. etc. |

| 1426754 | 2016-10-01 23:51:00 | I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird which is pop - @slingshot.co.nz and no trouble. Also Hotmail(Outlook) is working ok but the one we use everyday is gmail and its messages are being delayed 1 day and then rejected giving the error 550 through slingshot. Windows 10 is ok too. Slingshot suggested I reinstall Thunderbird but it is working ok. |

| 1426755 | 2016-10-02 00:28:00 | To clarify, there is nothing you can do, and nothing wrong with your setup. Slingshot uses the sorbs list to block mail from listed spam sources. Google's smtp server is on that list because it sends spam. The system is working as designed. Your remedy is to not use services, like gmail, that allow spammers, because you are also punished for their actions. |
