1426403 2016-09-23 06:51:00 I use Outlook Mail for a Hotmail account but I am unable to close down/exit via the usual button at top-right of the page. I click the 'hand' but nothing happens. Only way out seems to be to close the Tab down.
Can anyone please suggest a remedy?
Peter.

1426404 2016-09-23 08:39:00 When it does that, check something -- Open Task manager (ctrl+Alt+del) On the process tab, look to see the CPU Usage, if its high, then scroll down, locate runtime Broker - click / select & End task. Try closing Outlook. wainuitech (129)
1426405 2016-09-23 09:03:00 If that doesn't have any result, open a run box ( type in run in the search) type in Outlook /safe Click OK, try closing Outlook, if it closes then there is some sort of corruption or add-on causing a problem. wainuitech (129)
1426406 2016-09-23 11:41:00 Thank you Wainui, you are a star.
After being left alone for a while the problem appears to have corrected itself. But I will keep your suggestion for future use.
Once again, you are a star!
Thanks, Peter.

1426407 2016-09-24 00:33:00 Nar not really. I have a W10 PC here, ( one of several) often when opening Microsoft documents or Other office programs, they misbehave ( go slow, wont close etc. looking into the problem Runtime Broker is the cause, killing it fixes the problem. Its designed to run in conjunction with modern apps.

Solving the problem completely - that's a different story, so many possibilities. AND it only does it sometimes, so I cant make it play up.
