1426347 2016-09-22 21:37:00 I have a ASUS m/b M5A78L-M. It is usb3 capable and I was wondering how I can check to see if the usb3 capability is working. How can I check that? Bryan (147)

1426349 2016-09-22 23:29:00 If you have a USB 3.0 hard drive or flash drive and can do a file transfer faster than about 40-50 MB/s then it's working.
Not many devices actually utilise the speed all that much so it can be hard to tell.

Make sure it's one of the USB 3.0 ports you are testing on of course.

If USB3 wasnt enabled/working , then it would have a cross in Win device manger.

Older versions of Win you sometimes have to install the USB3 driver (driver from Asus website)
