668579 2008-05-12 09:32:00 Hey guys,

Recently got a 19" samsung tv with pc input (vga) and I thought I'd test it out on my pc.

I set it up, but the screen has a major yellow tone.

I played with the nView settings for saturation, contrast, red green and blue etc, and so far movies are all good, but all white stuff is dull yellow everywhere else, even in games.

Any ideas why this is happening?

668580 2008-05-12 10:41:00 Does the same thing happen when viewing a TV channel? CYaBro (73)
668581 2008-05-12 11:06:00 colour temperature might be set to 6500K try 9300K or user settings
assuming you can change on either the TV or PC

668582 2008-05-12 23:30:00 TV and Movies (running of my pc) are fine. No yellow tone there.

I played with the "warm", "cool" and "natural" tones but that doesnt really change anything.

Also played around with the R, G and B but nothing seems to work

668583 2008-05-13 01:01:00 You checked the colour temp like William suggested? wratterus (105)
668584 2008-05-13 01:45:00 Have a look at the pins in the VGA connector. One of them could be bent. I get that with some old CRT monitors. Jiggling the connector might do something as well.

Edit: Woo! 200 posts!
