| 668238 | 2008-05-11 05:26:00 | When I boot up and just leave the puter to run all by itself and I haven't signed into a username yet . . . is my firewall running or does it even need to run until I actually launch my username? I wonder if it is unsafe to just go get something to eat and return and complete the sign-in process then? Running XP-P with a router and DSL . |

What about being behind the router? Isn't that a pretty good firewall too? Part B: If there aren't any services really up and running, with the exception of the Windows sign-in screen . . . is there any real danger? |
