I want a CC for online purchases for next year when i'm at Uni (at the mo i use my mums card and just pay her etc)
But i won't be able to get one as i'm not working (correct?) I do work in holidays etc - but i'm assuming this won't cover it.
Is there any way i could get one (i'm 18) while at uni?
I mean it doesn't even have to be a CREDIT card, it could just be a Debit card that acts and looks like a credit card - as i always have the money b4 i buy.
even with a $100 Credit limit i'd be happy!

I got my credit card as a student - part of the package I believe.

They want you to have one to get used to using them ;)

The BNZ has never increased by limit of $500 because I suspect I'm one of those annoying people who uses it but pays the balance in full each month.

I don't use it much now though as I can just pay most NZ companies using Internet Banking with Direct Credits. Use ya "soon to be" interest free student loan instead :p

You shouldn't have any trouble. Ask at the bank.
