| 668984 | 2008-05-13 05:47:00 | Just fired up my Feisty Fawn Ubuntu live CD (first time on this lappy - has worked fine on other PC's) and I get the to the splash screen before getting dropped into a screen saying: /bin/sh: Cant access tty - job control turned off :confused: Help appreciated!! |

| 668985 | 2008-05-13 07:06:00 | That error message has been around for a while with a wide range of suggestions on what may (and can) fix it. Are you going to install Ubuntu or just use the Live CD? Do you have the latest Ubuntu release (8.04)? Does your laptop have sATA drives? | Jen (38) | ||
| 668986 | 2008-05-13 10:32:00 | Hi Jen, Just wanting to use this as a live CD. I'm currently using Feisty Fawn (haven't got round to getting Hardy Heron!), and yes, its got a SATA drive (an R61 Thinkpad) |
