| 385808 | 2005-09-03 23:07:00 | Hi Just got spammed again with the "Petrol Boycott" message. I picked it up in Mailwasher and looked to see who sent it to me, preparatory to giving them a rev. Problem is, I know none of the names or addresses in the original sender's header, and my email address doesn't appear anywhere in the subsequent forwarding data as shown below. I have deleted all the prior bumpf and copied only the part of the header that is related to delivery to me. My email is privately but professionally hosted so I have deleted their address. My interest is in finding out how an email can get to my mailbox without using my address. I don't doubt there's a way, but what is it? | 385809 | 2005-09-03 23:35:00 | Your address would have been in their BCC Address field to achieve that I am on a regular email update from an overseas regulatory organisation and also a NZ one, and my address appears nowhere in the headers detail as its part of their BCC mail listing, professionally done. |
