669296 2008-05-14 05:02:00 Hi there

My new SATA DVDr is not recognised by Nero(v5), the old IDE drives worked fine
(strangely, the Nero info tool detects it)

It works with CDBurnerXP etc etc,but not with my (full) version of nero. Cant find any workarounds or fixes that worked.

I'd prefer to use Nero if possible, anyone know any fixes for this??

relevant info(?)
Pioneer DVR-112, Win Xp, Nvidia 550 m/b chipset

669297 2008-05-14 05:06:00 Did the version of Nero come with the burner?? I doubt anyone would bundle V5 with a burner, if you brought it recently

I would say its an OEM version (which didnt come with this burner, (it may have been part of another burner, you brought)

Or V5 doesnt know what a SATA DVD burner is.

I too have just bought a Pioneer DVR212 but am waiting for a Sata PCI card. The drive came with Nero 7 Essentials suite 1, and says on the back of sleeve..."no SVCD and DVD Video support"
So I was hoping to still use Nero 5 as well!
Would installing 7 wipe out 5,anyone?
