I think there will be a number of people who flock to the service as an Anti-Telecom move, but I don't know whether it will ever be good enough/far reaching enough to be true competition.

388550 2005-09-15 11:38:00 Given all of the reports about how intermittent the Woosh service is, I'm concerned that they will disappoint many people. However perhaps they've got the technology sorted.

Bear in mind that Telstra just passed up the right to buy a slice of Woosh - for $30 million. So Telstra must think they can pick it up cheaper later or that wireless at present isn't commercially feasible. There is no way Telstra would walk away if they thought Woosh was serious competition for Telecom. They would be in boots and all.

388552 2005-09-15 21:41:00 I don't see why anyone that can get ADSL would go with the phone+internet option - for what woosh charges you for 256k with a 10 gig cap + $20 for the phone service, you can get unlimited 256k through slingshot ($50) + $40 for the line rental. Greven (91)
