Dell is not "Hot" at the moment, if it ever was, and low prices are rarely, if ever, reflected in customer satisfaction statistics. The memory of a lousy computer will linger on long after the warm feeling of a low price has faded. Whatever happened to that HP you bought Jack? Cheers Billy 8-{) |

Cheers Billy 8-{) I realize most of the bits are probably cheap and nasty , but even so the price seems to cheap for more or less the latest model . And Warranty should keep it running for a while . I sold the HP a few months ago and as far as I know it's still working OK . Of course I sold it for less than half what I paid for it . That DELL was also included in their latest junk mail at just under $2,000 . It had a mid range Nvidia 128 meg card in it . For another $100 and something you can get a 256 mb Radeon . |

| 387942 | 2005-09-12 23:59:00 | What's wrong with the following comps? Dell Dimension(TM) E-VALUE CODE : M210917 E-VALUE CODE : M210929 E-VALUE CODE : M210916 Price NZD 2,797.88 + $99 freight? Price NZD 2,596.50 + $99 freight? Price NZD 2,298.38 + $99 freight? For that sort of money any 1/2 decent techie will build a machine that will outperform and outlast all of those. |

| 387944 | 2005-09-13 03:41:00 | What's wrong with these? First off they are Dells. And that pretty much covers it. How many times are you going to be stung? |

As they are Dell I know they are probably rubbish and I have no intention of buying one. I was just wondering how they could sell them so cheaply. |

| 387946 | 2005-09-13 04:07:00 | They aint especially cheap. They buy the cheapest nastist gear in the world. They get it in bulk and negotiate their own prices, being big enough to dictate straight to the manufacturers what they will pay. They dont have to operate retail outlets or employ more then one person per country. |
