387642 2005-09-12 03:50:00 Promises, promises, promises.

Lies, lies, lies.

Should add, that applys to Labour,National will be honest about it of course. :)

387644 2005-09-12 04:38:00 Here's a scary thought: if Labour wins, Steve Maharey will stay as Minister for Technology. If National wins, Maurice Williamson most likely will regain his Technology portfolio. Both MPs have had the LLU issue put before them, and both have chosen not to unbundle. Telecom are on a win-win here regardless of the outcome of the general election. xmojo1 (4630)
387645 2005-09-12 05:05:00 Wait, I'm thinking of changing my vote to support Labour because of this promise, and you people think it's all lies? This is my first election and I never really paid attention to politics in the previous elections, but do parties actually just make up policies and then not act upon them? roddy_boy (4115)

Course they do! you think Tax reliefs gonna happen successfully?

387648 2005-09-12 05:59:00 National will be honest about it of course. :)Sarcasm I hope.

Or are you one of the people going 'Awesome, tax is going to get cut' never mind that at the same time (for some unknown reason) the national debt starts skyrocketing again.

Honesty is NOT buying an election, or posting leaflets in an attempt to mar the opposition

I'm really not certain about which party I will be voting for, I am definate on which one I won't vote for ( /|/ )

387649 2005-09-12 06:04:00 If you want an honest statement of what a party will do if it crawls to power, just look at the things it says its opponents will do if elected.

Never fails.

387650 2005-09-12 08:22:00 Sounds like a good scheme to me. I read that article in the Herald and does sound like the beginning of something good. Telecom will of course protest, but I feel they've had enough time at the moneyfest. :D

Disclaimer: This post is not intended to begin a flame war about telecom.
