(Preference is for a Canon, 6+ digital zoom). 2) Where to buy? Missus is going to USA this month - would we do better trying to get it locally, via Duty Free, or getting it from a retailer overseas? Thx. |

| 387388 | 2005-09-11 01:35:00 | lol John We've chosen a Canon Powershot S2 IS (www.livingroom.org.au). This is the successor to the widely acclaimed S1, which my brother owns, and I've used. In the reviews all of the small niggles have been addressed in this new model. The price from a couple of reputable USA stores keeps it nicely within our budget, or slightly over if we bought it locally. | 387389 | 2005-09-11 06:36:00 | Wow, that looks a nice wee camera. I am not sure I have seen one yet with a 12x optical zoom, so good on you. Our camera is an Olympus C5050 with 5 megapixels, and I agree that is ample sufficiency. Have fun! John |
