Nasty methods of execution were a way of sending a message to the general population. See what happens if you mess up. I din't mean that crucifixion was the first instance of torture. I just got me thinking that the more "civilised" we become the "better" torture gets. Think about what the female Russian soldiers did to male German soldiers........ |
