388895 2005-09-20 22:47:00 I'm pretty sure that there's way more people who don't know a thing about computers and internets, let alone have one, than people who can get access to a voting booth. I, for one, wouldn't expect any oldies across my street to know the term 'internet'. 'Computer' by itself is hard enough for them to understand.

They barely know how to make a call on a cellphone...!

Paper or the use of it is my source of income, so no it's not a waste of resources..

Actually I do get most of my news coverage from the TV and Internet. I prefer podcasts to radio and will probably shift to get all my news from internet sources as soon as IP TV matures. But that is only because it is more convenient for me. I do still read the paper from time to time but this is not the issue. I really don't care which media people use to get their news.

I was not meaning paper was the waste but more the paper voting process as a whole. I was referring to the waste of human resources involved during the whole process. I believe it could be done faster and far more efficiently by using technology.

388901 2005-09-25 11:13:00 If there was online voting I'm sure I'd find a way to vote a few times if not 100 times. You can't put something as important as that on the internet, there's no way to control what people are doing. For the moment until they take our privacy away and make us use biometric scans etc voting should stay at a polling booth so everything is above board. sa-8-gecko (8899)
