670259 2008-05-17 11:58:00 Can somebody tell me ,what program to use,if I want to convert music from an audio tape into a digital file? The tape player output needs to be connected to the line-in socket and then ??
Please answer simple,I`m an computer amateur.

670261 2008-05-17 12:57:00 I use to run the free Audacity and advanced trial Cool Edit Pro 2; Here's a simple tutorial (www.online-tech-tips.com) using the popular free Audio editor/recording software Audacity (audacity.sourceforge.net/). There are other more semi automated pay for software such as spin it again (www.acoustica.com) or Goldwave (http://www.goldwave.com/)... kahawai chaser (3545)
670262 2008-05-17 23:04:00 You would need a very good original tape to make this worthwhile. Tape quality was never great to begin with compared to Digital and the loose incurred in the conversion IMHO would make it futile. Bantu (52)
