390062 2005-09-21 11:01:00 ahhh, another off topic question concerning telecom... god, their website is useless... maybe the information is hidden somewhere, but after 20mins of going around in circles I figure you guys can tell me better... talk about bad usability...
anyways I'm moving house and I was wondering how much it will cost me to reconect with them, both my landline and my ADSL... if it costs around the same price it will cost me to change to a new company, I think I'll switch my ADSL..
anyways, thanks!

390063 2005-09-21 11:41:00 Did you consider calling them?

It will depend how much the disconnection fee is if you've only been connected a short time. When you move. Any deals on at the time. Lots of factors.

Other ISP's might absorb the connection fee for you, but you'd need a valid telephone # and account before they could provision you for ADSL.

You should also try and put titles in your threads.

390064 2005-09-21 13:50:00 I actually tried calling them a few times...and gave up after waiting around 20mins each time, and as I'm a full time student I don't have many chances to call them except for my lunch brakes...
also sorry, i did put a title in it, but my internet is acting really strange at the moment, pages are taking forever to load and aren't loading properly. I was surprised when my post was actually posted... i waited for almost 5mins i think for it to load... so sorry to annoy you.

390065 2005-09-21 13:52:00 sorry, I'm overworked and really tired... I DID title it, but I guess through some errors and such it didnt come through, as my ADSL is slower than dial up tonight :groan: bizzack (7739)
390066 2005-09-21 20:29:00 Sad luck mate... if you'd called them a day ago you'd have qualified for the free connection (adsl) and modem. Greg (193)
390067 2005-09-21 21:12:00 It will cost you $99. Regardless of which ISP you go with. This is because of the alteration at the exchange they have to do - its tied to the phone at the house not actually you.
That may have been waived if this was a new connection but not if you are just changing houses.
I don't know what the cost is for the phone part...can't remember.

If your internet is slow lateley - have you done a spyware/virus scan?

What's wrong with the very top link in the middle on the 1st Personal page "Joining or moving" right beside the image of the guy pointing his finger at you.

Offers of free connection and modem are probably only for new customers.
