| 389541 | 2005-09-19 23:54:00 | Every DVD rental place in Auckland I've been to seems to have the same threadbare Hollywood cr*p. Does anyone know of rental places that offer a wider variety of DVD movies, 'alternative' movies? Thanks! |

| 389544 | 2005-09-20 03:32:00 | Just because, I'm gonna third Videon. They were the only place in Auckland to hold every single Red Dwarf episode and extra ever made when I lived up that way. The service is excellent, and they can get stuff in if you can't find what you'e looking for. Be warned though, they have much MUCH more on video than they do on DVD. | pixeldust (6619) | ||

| 389550 | 2005-09-20 20:41:00 | That's awesome Steve L . Just what I was looking for . Many thanks . Glad you found it useful . I joined each of the three listed above and got their free two week offer and let me tell you I got LOTS of movies! Most all of them were foreign or non-Hollywood . The most difficult part was sifting through 8k of movies for each company! I used http://www . imdb . com to look up User Comments and the overall Rating, to be sure what I was getting was not a bomb . Comments on each of the DVD rental web sites were also helpful but not up to par with IMDB where thousands of users contribute . If you like foreign flicks, I could give you a list of the best . BTW, there are no strings attached to the free two week deals, as long as you return all movies by the end date and cancel your membership . I did join Fatso for a couple of months after the freebies . All 3 companies had good service . |
