669941 2008-05-16 22:02:00 The Wacom "Bamboo" should be fine then. Probably worth the price. They are reommended for Mac graphic designers.

I used a Wacom about 7 years ago for all computer apps and had no problems at all.

669942 2008-05-17 12:27:00 I just want to use it as a mouse, for general purpose PC use. I've found that it resolves my problem with OOS.

I used it just as a mouse too, until I got dual monitors for my PC which made it unusable. However I don't think you would regret spending a bit more and buying a higher quality brand. The wacom bamboo is also a lot cheaper than wacooms more expensive models. I think you are wasting your time with a budget brand, as the tips in the pen aren't anywhere near as good or accurate. You also want to make sure that you can get replacement pen tips, as they do wear out.

Cheers. Will have a look at it then.

669945 2008-05-18 01:08:00 How about the Wacom Graphire4? It's an older model, but is cheaper. somebody (208)

That must have arrived very quickly. I think you are better buying a decent brand like Wacom. I may look at buying one of their larger sized models, as a 4x5 pad with dual screens, would be very difficult to work with, although I would imagine it would be fine with a single screen.
