389154 2005-09-18 09:27:00 Hi....Is there anyone who could help us with a small detail from around 1986.

Turns out that there were some old family files lurking on 3 inch floppies stored away under the bed along with an Amstrad 6128 computer that hasn't seen action for years and now the files are wanted. We stoked up the old girl and after some experiments got the word processor Tasword up on to the green screen.

This is our problem.... can anyone remember how we used to load the files from the floppy to Tasword. We used Tasword for years but have a great big blank on how to do that. Many thanks for a "how to" on this......Ken :)

389156 2005-09-21 12:35:00 Thanks for the links pctek . . . you got closer than I did .

We got Tasword up on the screen ok and found how to switch to a full help page showing various commands . . . . but yes there is a menu but we cant find a way to to switch to it . We remember it as the options for Load, Save, Merge, delete etc . but not how to find it . It must be there somewhere because they are the same disks that we used and the same Amstrad .

I guess I'll have to keep trying a few other forums such as newsgroups and maybe post to PF1 where it shouldn't be off topic . . . I hope . Thanks again . . . . Ken .
