| 388931 | 2005-09-17 07:26:00 | A friendly heads up for the coming bad weather. I have been watching the development of the coming weather system for the past week. The computer models are all predicting some nasty weather with snow to hit the South Island on Monday/Tuesday with some devastating frosts on Thursday morning. Canterbury weather forecaster Blue Skies has released a public warning today although the Met Service is still rather quiet on the whole event (which is unfortunately typical for them). This is a very very cold southerly blast and has the potential to be as bad as the 92 snow storm. The weather will be very interesting over the next week so everyone take care. :) |

| 388932 | 2005-09-17 08:14:00 | yeah ive heard some mention of it, apparently there is going to be snow down to quite low levels which is just what we dont need at the moment, we have had quite a good spring, paddocks are in good nick, ground is dry, grass is growing very well and milk production is pretty good too. hopefully its not going to be that bad :o |

Just goes to show, whenever people open their mouths and say wow what a nice mild winter, mother nature comes round and bites you on the bum. Still the skifields won't be complaining, they've had a shocking season. Hopefully when it gets here it is not as bad as it looks at the moment. |

With all the expensive computers and modeling software you'd think they could get it right. Maybe they need to look outside once in a while. | Sb0h (3744) | ||
