JUST A HEADS UP - please take a look at This thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) Spy ware Doctor has had a slight problem with the latest definitions, affecting some XP SP3 PC's. They should have it fixed ASAP. There are a couple of suggestions from various people that work around the problem until PCTools push out the fixes. Currently using:- Spybot SD CCleaner AdAware AVG 8 Windows Defender Spamfighter Firewall is Symantec (I think, it is the one that was discontinued & swallowed up by somebody else. It does start with an "S" tho) Use all of the above at regular intervals. The Comp is slow on the Internet at times, which we put down to the business of the system. That should not account for the slowness of the M/c to move from one screen to another. PJ |
