| 670734 | 2008-05-19 22:52:00 | Thanks Speedy, I searched my hard drive, located winhttp.dll in 2 locations C:\WINNT\ServiceP 304K C:\WINNT\System 32 The error message in relation to this dll read "C;\winnt\System32\PROXCFG.exe cannot access necessary file winhttp.dll Am I right in assuming that the link to this dll has been damaged. Search unable to locate mscoree.dll 2 error messages in relation to this dll C/Program Files\Common Files\Install Shiel;d\Professional Run Time\09\01\ Intel 32\DotNetInstaller.exe cannot access necessary file mscoree.dll and C/Program Files\Common Files\Install Shiel;d\Professional Run Time\0701\ Intel 32\DotNetInstaller.exe cannot access necessary file mscoree.dll How does one recover from these two and restore system as it should be. Appreciate your advice. |

| 670737 | 2008-05-20 03:34:00 | It says: You received this error message after running a diagnostic scan using antivirus software, such as Norton AntiVirus or Norton WinDoctor. Some diagnostic software recognizes DotNetInstaller.exe as a .NET application that depends on the .NET Framework and reports it. DotNetInstaller.exe is a .NET application that is used when an installation is installing .NET assemblies. InstallShield installs DotNetInstaller.exe as part of its engine files. DotNetInstaller.exe does not work on systems that do not have the .NET Framework, but the file is cached with the InstallShield engine files just in case it is needed in the future when the .NET Framework is installed. It is technically correct, but InstallShield always checks for the framework before trying to use it. You can safely ignore this message. |
