2005-09-26 23:39:00 How much money$$ on power would I save if I swapped my two 60WATT lightbulbs in my room for two 10WATT engery saving lightbulbs if I use the lights in my room 6 hours a day,7 days a week? lance4k (4644)
2005-09-26 23:44:00 well your saving 50WATT every time you use them compared to the standard bulbs. therefore just multiply how long a period you want to calculate savings over and how much your paying for power. tweak'e (69)
2005-09-27 01:13:00 It depends on how much you pay per unit for your power but 75 cents a week shouldn’t be too far away.

Not enough for a beer anyway. :groan:

2005-09-27 01:19:00 You also need to factor in the life an ordinary incandescent bulb (1000 hours?) vs a fluorescent (about 10 times longer) for about the same price these days.
