390649 2005-09-25 04:32:00 A friends grandfather was convicted of murder in approx 1928,only other in info was that is was in the Slough area in England.
I have spent about 2 hrs looking,cant find anything.
Would appreciate it if someone good at finding such things would have a go.

Robert Wilson hanged William Henry Kennedy on the 31st of May 1928 at Wandsworth for his part in the shooting of police constable George William Gutteridge.

Maybe, but that was quite a famous gruesome case in Essex, not Slough.
The copper was shot in each eye.
There were two hangings for this murder, one in Wandsworth Prison, the other in Pentonville.

Thank you Terry and the rest of you decent chaps.
The only other info I have gleaned is that he did 8 years.
It has been a dark secret and friend would like any info as you can imagine.
