| 393865 | 2005-10-06 21:11:00 | Ok some of that sounds good I've only ever been to Dunedin for a day or 2 at the most Larnach castle, olveston and cadburys (but only if there are ompah lompahs there) appeal the most, Anything involving alcohol I'll have to avoid (I'm a "one can" wonder), besides if i drink the wife will have to drive and then i will really need to drink. Thanks for the ideas guys |

Personally I'd upgrade it to a nightclub, if Dunners has such a thing, go for one with some spare talent, if not that, then lapdancing and, most importantly, decent down to earth drag em out, knock em down, screaming rocknroll (doesn't matter what genre, as long as it's good) . Have a good time and watch what you put in your mouth  :xmouth: |

| 393871 | 2005-10-08 07:48:00 | It'll have to be quick, I've since found out I will only be there for 2 hrs, so i guess the museum and a beer is about all i have time for Go to Google and type in: Baldwin Street Dunedin . It is generally said to be the steepest street in the world . This is what one site says about it: Baldwin Street . . . Baldwin is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the Steepest street in the world, (but there is some dispute over this as only 6m out of the total street length of 30m is at the steepest gradient) . Baldwin Street has a maximum gradient of 1m in 2 . 86m (191) . This means for every 2 . 86 metres horizontal it goes up vertically 1 metre The horizontal length of Baldwin street from North Road to the top of the street is 359 metres . The change in height is 69 . 2 metres . . . It is quite something to walk to the top and back . One site said that you should not try changing gears if driving up . With suitable transport I think 2 hours would give enough time to do it . |

| 393872 | 2005-10-08 08:05:00 | Actually Baldwin street is one of those things I've done on almost all the rare occasions I have been there, I always thought I'd open a pub half way up for all those stuffed looking tourists | Morgenmuffel (187) | ||
