393854 2005-10-06 05:24:00 :D There's nothing at all to do in Dunedin, it's a dump. There's only one place in the country worse than Dunedin and thats'....oh, I see you already live there. :D

Yes, a real problem when it takes 10 minutes to get anyway and no one tries to steal your car every minute you are there. Actually I think Gore is rated lower.

The peninsula is always an interesting place in general to check out.

Or tour Speights brewery or Cadburys.

No computer stores are worth seeing - I just buy online. If you are really bored check out Harvey Norman.

393855 2005-10-06 05:41:00 Driving home and then there again to pick her up as soon as you get home would prove to be far more interesting than staying in Dunedin. techie (7177)

393858 2005-10-06 07:43:00 Put the claws away. I happen to like Invercargill & I'm sure dunedin isn't that bad, but I've never been there for more than 2 days. Greven (91)

I did that train ridea long while back; assuming it's the same one... Taieri Gorge or some such thing?

But people shouldn't knock Dunedin - first it's got a lot of meritable ancestory, and second it's about the most inhospitable planet in the world.

(oh yeah - they also have great rugby form from thereabouts)

393860 2005-10-06 08:13:00 You could ring a couple of high profile rugby players and go seal shooting up the harbour.

Very popular pastime. :D

The Art Gallery in the Octagon is good, as is the Museum next to the University. Check out the University bookshop a stones throw from the Museum. Wander around the Botanic Gardens and check out the old cemetery with Thomas Brackens tomb.

Drive up Flagstaff for the view, or even better up Mount Cargill for a real view. Second hand records etc just up Stuart Street from the Octagon. He's been there since 1973. Also Galaxy Records in Great King St near the Police Station.

Early Settlers Museum near the Railway Station.

Law Courts for a laugh in Lower Stuart Street.
