672190 2008-05-24 10:47:00 Hi there,

I just installed this under Vista, but it is not yet as well implemented as it is on Ubuntu 8.04. It hasn't found all my bookmarks from FF2, and most of my add-ons are not compatible. I had beta 5 installed earlier in the year and could run it and 2.0 in parallel with each other, but that option seems to have been taken away.

Short of a system restore (I have one from earlier in the day) does anyone know how I can remove this and get FF2 back to where it was? Or alternatively have them working side-by-side?

Cheers for the help,
GorCh

Not sure if it will pick up your bookmarks etc though.

There is a patch on the internet which enables 'incompatible' addons to work with FF3 RC1. It involves editing the about:config page.

672193 2008-05-24 22:26:00 An easier method than messing around with about:config is download the Nightly tools extension. then just right-click on any disabled extensions and "force" it. None of the extensions I have forced have caused any problems. addons.mozilla.org pheonix (36)
