393486 2005-10-05 00:54:00 Personally, I'm hoping the Greens get it.
Don't get me wrong, I believe the Greens have no place in Govt, but their IT policy is for more open source development and (hopefully) greater broadband speeds.

What matters is that our lives are in the hands of a bunch of twits.
But then, that seems to be the nature of democracy.

393489 2005-10-05 02:14:00 I look back warmly to the time our lives weren't in the hands of a bunch of twits, those were the days.....hmmm.....Can't actually pinpoint such a time,

Nope.

Still nothing.

393490 2005-10-05 02:34:00 I am happy that Paul Swain is gone, now I just hope that some one else who know a bit more about IT in NZ will take it over, I would be happy if the Greens or United Future takes over it & in turn we ** might ** get better broadband speeds (especially upload speeds) stu161204 (123)

David Cunliffe held the ministerial porfolios for Communications and IT.

Paul Swain had dropped to associate minister for these portfolios.
