The getting his ribs removed so he could suck his own .... story is an urban legend.

I don't see why everyone gets so up in arms about manson - surely he isn't the worst thing in this world & he has a lot of good music (and some really crap music, but everyone has their failures).

394324 2005-10-10 20:51:00 The Avalanches - Frontier Psychiatrist on Winamp 5.1 SurroundWhere do you source 5.1 Audio from? and which file format would you recomend for storing it?

AFAIK CDs and MP3s can only deal with 2 channels, so I've been looking for something else to aquire/store my music.
At the moment, I'm listening to Marilyn Manson's greatest hits playing..Mazza has a joined the list of dead artists by releasing a greatist hits? Damn, I am feeling old. Bands I grew up with are releasing greatist hits albums, and I'm out of the loop.

What am I listening to?

Nothing.. my workmates complained a while ago, and I get too many phone calls to work with headphones on.

...The Winamp 5.1 Surround is the name of the pro version of winamp I'm using. I decide to pay for the whole experience of Winamp. Also with added bonus of DFX software from fxsound.com I can listen to my music in good 3D and ambience on my Altec Lansing 5.1 speakers.:)

IMHO, he is also someone who does wonderful covers, but has written very little of his own that has any value.

394327 2005-10-11 08:46:00 He proved very articulate in Bowling for Columbine. I think he's quite intelligent, and the whole image he pulls off is to make people see that looks don't affect your intelligence etc.

I don't know, I listen to him sometimes - a bit angry :) then again nirvana is quite angry.

394329 2005-10-11 20:21:00 Came into some prize money (vouchers) recently, so in my first little shopping spree bought:

The Killers - Hot Fuss
Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have It So Much Better
Nine Inch Nails - With Teeth
Gwen Stefani - Love Angel Music Baby
Hot Chocolate - Greatest Hits

Each of the first four has released singles I like, in particular: Somebody Told Me, Mr. Brightside, All These Things I Have Done (Killers); Do You Want To (Franz Ferdinand); Hand That Feeds (NIN); Hollaback Girl (Gwen Stefani). Now going through and listening to all the albums and finding more great songs - especially, Evil and a Heathen (FF)
