673151 2008-05-27 11:36:00 Hi Team

I was working away on a whole bunch of files in Publisher when all of a sudden the file window displayed the directory contents in reverse-alpha order Z ->A.

Windows Explorer still shows all files in normal order so it seems to be a Publisher glitch. I've tried the "shut it down and start again" trick but no dice, and I've searched the help files without result. Random left or right clicking around file boxes didn't pop up any options so I'm stumped.

I can work with it as is, but it is slowing me down and I have a massive report to compile and send tomorrow so every minute counts.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Clicking on "Name" above the file list reverses the alpha order . I wonder why they didn't document it, or if they did, why it is so well hidden .

Reminds me of a graphics annotation program I have that came with an instrument . The resolution of the data captured was ten times as precise as the graphics drawing program feature that you use to put site data around the recorded values . The manufacturer said that was it, like it or lump it, then one day I accidentally hit the "insert" key when aiming for delete and found that it toggled the program into a x10 resolution mode (or should that be divided by 10?), anyway that happy accident answered all my prayers . I told the manufacturer and they knew nothing about it!!

Cheers
