2008-05-26 07:19:00 | Yes you can IF and its a big IF both are home or both are Pro as you cannot swap and use a home cd with a Pro licence key and vice versa, oh and just sometimes it will not re activate then you need to call MS NZ | gary67 (56) | |

Make sure you safe any drivers first if its a name brand PC, or make sure the drivers are availabale from the manufactures site BEFORE wiping the drive. |

2008-05-26 12:03:00 | Hi Shione The easiest way to save your drivers and/or restore them is with DriverMax. It's free. :banana Goto HERE (www.innovative-sol.com). BURNZEE

2008-05-26 21:02:00 | From memory you can d/l software that will tell you what the current Key is, then use any CD to install and use his CD key you recovered to install it. I am sure that should be all legal. Oops you say the CD key is on the case, then use that.

2008-05-26 22:27:00 | Does the one you want to reinstall on have a Restore Partition? XP MIGHT be on a separate Restore Partition. | Bantu (52) | |
2008-05-27 01:37:00 | Go to the Compac site (now part of HP) h50055.www5.hp.com and type in your product number (will be on the side or back of the case), and you'll find the drivers and info you need :) .
