397114 2005-10-17 18:25:00 That looks like the new IHUG schedule posted on their web site yesterday.
Certainly a big improvement on their old price list up to now.
Resulting from the recent instructions to Telecom on their wholesale pricing structure.
Can only be good for consumers.

Gee, thats what I pay now to Telecom.

Well this is a good one with 40Gig/month data allowance...I might move to this one next year...90 bucks(40/wk payment)

397117 2005-10-18 05:27:00 Hmm ... just took a look at Ihugs website and saw the new plans.

For me, I can now get the same speed up/down for $10/month cheaper, plus I get another 10 gig added to my monthly allowance (20 gig total - 10 peak / 10 off peak hours). Wonder when they were going to mention this to the current bliink 2 Mb lite users who pay more and get less data allowance compared to the new plans?

And what about the current Bliink Lite users who pay the same but now have imposed a split 2+2gb limit as opposed to a current 4gb (with no time of day restriction) limit .... hardly beneficial.

397119 2005-10-19 04:22:00 This thread should now become a "hot" one ... no it won't :( ... I've just added to the post counter. Need one more viewer to do it ... Graham L (2)
397120 2005-10-19 04:44:00 Haha I tried that too.. Wonder if I'll put it over the top?
Just to stay on topic, unlimited 256K bitstream is good enough for me. Pah who needs 2meg??

397121 2005-10-19 07:31:00 500megs!!!!

Man I can barely cope with 1 gig, and I don't download anything much at all, let alone play games or streaming video.

basically 500meg is unusable as an account.

397122 2005-10-19 20:31:00 But it is a good starter for a lot of people who are not Internet nuts. I know lots of people (yes, I am in the 'older' category!) who just do email and light browsing who would benefit from this plan even just to keep their security progs updated! And if you grow above it you just hop on the site and change your plan. How is this not a 'good thing'? linw (53)
