396044 2005-10-14 10:12:00 Hi..
I heard talk on 1ZB today about the gadget displayed in the link below. I only half heard the addresses metioned while running round looking for a pen and swearing. It seemed to be an NZ thing but when I tried the name in Google I got this. There is a sleepy head in our family who could really do with something like this but I'd rather find a source in NZ if I can. Anyone seen any thing like this available here?
I thought it must have a cunning mercury switch to catch a nodding head at various angles but no...they say it's all done on the principal of "electronic balance". ??????? It's still a good idea if it works. Cheers Ken

396046 2005-10-15 10:03:00 Tape a needle to your neck (sharp end up), You will wake quick smart if your head nods forward in drowsiness..... Metla (12)
396047 2005-10-15 10:13:00 They were selling those things at the uni markets that they have at uni every Thursday... $2 each I think.. Could be wrong after looking at the price on that website though.. But they looked to be really cheap, I couldn't figure out what the hell they were for because the English on the packaging was so shocking. Had to ask the stall owner.
I could have a look, maybe send one to you if they still have them this Thurs? Its the auck uni markets if your in aucks.
Cheers,
roddy.

396051 2005-10-15 11:18:00 All sounds good but drowsy drivers are dangerous even before your head drops forward .. slow reactions etc.

I've heard that sleep before driving works quite well.

Cheers :)
