If God was to destroy everyone now, noone would be able to live since we are all imperfect. God sent his son Jesus so that we could all be saved. Jesus was perfect. To counter the sin of the first perfect man, Jesus was sent to earth. He lived a perfect life. His ransom was a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins. Read John 3:16, 17. That should explian it all But God is going to execute judgement someday. This day is known as armaggeddon (not the comic convention). |

There are many books that are written and claim to be the work of God, the ultimate power, etc, why pick this one? Easy. The last book in the bible was written in 96CE. The first way back in 1513 BCE. No other book has lasted this long. The time from the last book till now is over 1,900 years. It is the most famous book and the most selling one. The fact that it was lasted all these years and hasn;t died out is testimony for it being inspired by God and beneficial for us. |

As far as organs of man/the universe go, there is nothing that I know of in the theory of evolution precludes a creator of some kind, or with the big bang theory . In one of my physics lectures (this was a while ago now and a bit hazy) I'm sure we were told that according to the Big Bang Theory that the big bang doesn’t measure the start of the universe, just the point at which we can start measuring it . I personally think that most of the the problems that the promoters of ID have with evolution is to do with lack of understanding that none of these theories have really delt with the *start* ever . -Qyiet |

The Bible is a collection of books which contain preachings and historical details . These books were brought together in 320 AD by Constantine and selected to became our modern bible . You conveniently overlook many older books which were left out of the Bible, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls . Also there are ancient Egyptian texts which may be a similar age to Genesis . Furthermore we simply don't know what was lost in the great library at Alexandria . Mahamoud was given the word of God in 610 - 632 AD which we now know as the Qu'ran (Koran) . And I endorse Metla's question - why did the Old Testament God, of fire and brimstone, change to a loving forgiving God later on . Man may be imperfect but surely God does not change . |
