| 397320 | 2005-10-18 17:38:00 | What it amounts to for me is that I can get 2mb downloads at the same price I am paying for 256k at present. Uploads are immaterial. | JJJJJ (528) | ||

| 397322 | 2005-10-19 02:49:00 | I have been on the Bliink Lite plan ... 256K with 4GB 24/7 per month for $39.95 I generally use somewhere between 3-4GB per month. I am not restricted to time of day (peak/off peak), so what I have has suited me very well given most of my internet activity is during the day (or what is classed as peak). Under Ihug's new plan, while the speed is supposed to be 2mbps the data cap under an equivalent plan has changed to 2+2gb peak/off peak. So if I switched then I would be penalised by lower speeds once I exceed the 2gb cap ... something which I am currently not restricted to. I find the speed I currently get to more than adequately serves my purposes .... I certainly do not want to pay more to achieve the same data cap that I am getting today. I feel this is the first salvo in the broadband war .... am sure it will change further as other providers adjust their offers. |

| 397323 | 2005-10-19 07:31:00 | Im still on their flatrate 256kbps plan :D Last month was an all-time low for me, I only managed to do 37 gigs, so their new plans would be horrendously expensive for me! |

What do you do with all the downloads? If I do more than a gig a month I think I am doing too much. How many hard disks do you have to buy every few months? |
