| 396007 | 2005-10-14 04:51:00 | Just a note here to say apparently IBM is giving all kindergarten new computers free, with the help of Little Tikes and these are XP comps. Our kindy got theres set up today, IBM even organise for a person to set it up to, it comes in a child friendly plastic computer desk with a seat and learning activities. it also has an option for a teacher use or child programs so that the children cannot access the xp part with out specific keys or code. so its a low seated double plastic couch and a flat panel large touch keypad, and a normal monitor, all protected by plastic and lockable (the tower is inside the back with opening doors to access the tower from both ends. i thought this was very generous, and the only thing to date commented about is why did it have to be a plastic fantastic body / desk why not something more natural, but it has to be robust for the under fives zone i spose. The guy setting them up, has done 15 last week and 10 this week, in our region. If i get a chance ill take a photo, unless this has been in a web page anywhere before id be interested to hear...... :illogical so all you comps in kindy bashers go now! do not pass go, do not collect $200 , go directly to jail...:p  beetle |
