| 674368 | 2008-05-31 23:24:00 | Does any one know whether you can buy a set of front panel USB ports separately? I want to install some in an old case that does not have any. Thanks |

Thanks You would need to check first to see if the mainboard has a spare USB header to allow a front USB connection. If it does the easiest way to get a front USB port would be to get an internal card reader as most of them have a USB port as well as the memory card slots. |

| 674371 | 2008-05-31 23:56:00 | There are several USB headers, I know about card readers with USB just wondered if it was possible to get just the USB ports themselves. Might just have to look around for an old case with some in. I also am going to build later this year when time and money permit a computer in a solid Rimu case to go in the lounge as a multi media machine, being a joiner by trade and part time tech for my friends at weekends and evenings so will want front USB for that one. |

Wife would never let me put a normal PC in the lounge, but since all our stuff is rimu maybe it would blend in nicely with out her whinging. |

| 674374 | 2008-06-02 12:33:00 | Hi Gary, What you need is called a multimedia box. Fits either in a CD slot or can be fitted into a floppy drive slot. Has sockets for Firewire, sound and USB plus cables. If you can't find one in your area feel free to contact me as I have one spare. |
