674428 2008-06-01 02:21:00 I have Project and Visio 2003 cd's i found lying around, and they dont have any service packs. I know there is a visio and project 2003 SP3, but there is nothing on the web on how to integrate them. Do i just use the office 2003 (like i did for frontpage)? aidanmaz (7180)
674429 2008-06-02 22:01:00 As far as I know, slipstreaming is for Windows & Office only, not for other apps. That said, I haven't really had a need for this so solutions may exist. autechre (266)
674430 2008-06-02 22:44:00 yeah, ijust cant justify downloading a 50mb SP everytime i install these programs on a PC of mine. Hopefully theres something out there aidanmaz (7180)

You have to extract the exe install files, and use the msp files within them to slipstream

Its similar to how you SS Office 07 updates. But all you have to do, (with Office 07), is extract the original exe files and put the msp files in the update folder on the cd, (I dont think Office 03 has an update folder), then reburn the copy of the cd (you copied to the hdd), back to the CD.

Only thing is the more files / hotfixes you add / slipstream, the bigger the cd gets. In the end I had to burn mine to DVD. Since it wouldnt fit on a CD.

Yep that's how to do it. But you need a volume license (corporate) and/or Small Biz/Pro version of MS Office IIRC to run Admin mode (ie Setup.exe /a) and integrate SPs.

You can apply a SP using the same EXE if you have several PCs.

BTW AFAIK using a volume license edition for private use is illegal - I may be wrong :)
