| 398249 | 2005-10-21 20:24:00 | Hey. 2 things. First, anyone heard anything more on when (if) Woosh will be available in Hamilton? Second, how far away is WiMax from being launched in NZ? WHat about how long till an ISP uses it for internet? |

| 398250 | 2005-10-22 03:04:00 | whoosh is over rated. its crap if you are a gamer, and it can be very fustrating trying to get a strong signal. | Prescott (11) | ||
| 398251 | 2005-10-22 03:30:00 | Second, how far away is WiMax from being launched in NZ? I'm pretty sure the standard hasn't even been finalised yet, so I would say far enough away it isn't worth waiting for if you want to get broadband in the next six months or so . :) |

| 398256 | 2005-10-22 05:28:00 | it very well maybe. woosh was tested down here, they thought they could do a really good job at bringing woosh to rural southland, but they have had massive problems, if a client was in the woosh range, they sometimes could still not get a good signal and speed, there were reports of you needing complete LOS, so if trees are in the way, you may have problems. im only repeating what i have read in the papers down here earlier in the year.... |
