| 397896 | 2005-10-20 08:02:00 | I have a bit of a weird question to ask. Next year I will be going overseas to represent NZ at an international tournament, as the Captain of the NZ Team. While the trip will be subsidised by the NZ organisation and its principal sponsor, team members have to contribute some money to assist in covering the airfares etc - approx $1000. I apologise for being a big vague here, but I don't want to give away my identity on a site which seems to be picked up by Google quite a lot. Does anyone here have any suggestions as to who I could write to, to seek sponsorship? Note: I live in Hastings, if this is of any help, and the team I represent is not a sports team. |

Write to the General Managers of such companies. As one who has been on the receiving end of such letters, I can suggest that you promote the advantages etc as politeley as accurately as possible. (by the way I used to decline them just as politely, but you never know your luck) |

| 397901 | 2005-10-20 08:31:00 | Thanks godfather and roddy_boy. Metla: I have a job. Unfortunately I can't "freeze" my life so I can save the $1000. In any case, I am putting money aside from my weekly paycheques, but it would be nice to get sponsorship to make life a bit easier. |
