397752 2005-10-19 20:46:00 Hey you techos out there can you help me on this one please. Is it not now possible to purchase a DC to AC power converter – ie to run small home appliances in a vehicle?! Am wanting to power a video camera (JVC GZ-MC100) DC11v – power consumption 4.9w – just cannot find any suitable power adaptors and or correct plugs so thought would look at a DC to AC power converter – but cannot find them either!
Many thanks

Have you tried DSE and Jaycar?

397754 2005-10-19 21:04:00 You want an inverter. Look up DC to AC inverter. An independent or solar power distributor would help you out here, or a marine electrician. mark c (247)

But Jaycar will be a lot cheaper. ;) I think Jaycar's prices beat DSE's at the moment, unless DSE have a special on.
