675723 2008-06-05 00:32:00 On sending emails I get the following message before it is accepted and sent...

HTML Question.

Some of the recipients are not listed as being able to receive HTML mail.
However you used formatting (e.g. colors) that will not be converted to plain text. Would you like to convert the message to plain text or send it in HTML anyway.

Then there are the three choices...

Send in Plain Text and HTML (The one I normally select.)
Send in plain text only. (The one that is bulleted and I have to change.)
Send in HTML only.

I have checked all the settings and can't find anything to assist me in this.
My emails are obviously all going to their intended addresses and I am not having any problems in this respect. As far as I can see I am only using black and white - i.e. no colors. Occasionally I enlarge/bold the odd word or phrase.

I am trying to avoid the nuisance of this message popping up with every email I send. Help appreciated. Obviously I know squat all about the complexities of HTML.

675724 2008-06-05 01:32:00 If you go to Tools -> Options -> Composition -> General, and look for the "Configure text format behaviour" option with the button "Send Options..", you'll be able to configure Thunderbird to either send in HTML anyway, or convert your message to plain text before sending -- all without annoying you :)

Using HTML means that you can send emails using bold, italic and the like ... I tend to compose in HTML, but then send in plain text. Just my personal preference :)

Edit the selected address
You will see a box there - Prefers to receive messages formatted as:
If you are sending HTML messages and HTML is not selected there you will receive that message you are getting.

675726 2008-06-05 01:55:00 I appreciate those speedy replies - just what I needed to be told. Not sure why I didn't see that for myself, guess I didn't delve far enough.

Problem solved.
