| 674865 | 2008-06-02 02:38:00 | I use the latest version of Windows Live Messenger (2008 : Build 8.5.1302.1018) on my work and home PC's. On my work PC, when I display the main screen with my contacts list, each contact has their photo displayed alongside 3 lines of text with the name, message and email address. On my home PC, all I have is a list of tiny icons with name - message - email address on one line. I have gone through every conceivable option and cannot find the place where I can change my home PC to display the contact photos. Selecting/deselecting the "Show display pictures from others" option on the work PC simply changes the contact photo to a generic blue image, but it still displays the large image and the 3 lines of text, whereas that option on the home PC has no effect whatsoever. :badpc: |

Imagine my surprise to find lurking behind the up/down arrows to the right of the contact search box (the arrows which have popup text of "sort contacts" and which I would have expected to "sort the contacts ) an option to "show contact details". Selecting this option does exactly what I am looking for - but what a mission to find it :waughh: | Miami Steve (2128) | ||
