400372 2005-10-30 15:08:00 Basicly an MP3 discman will quite happily play standard CDs, However, if you want to prepare a disc of MP3s, you will need to rip MP3s of your audio CDs and then select which MP3s to put on your compilation. Once youve done that, you may assemble your selection and burn them as a data CD.

If you are using KDE, you can open your Audio CDs in the file manager, and you will see a series of virtual directorys including ".wav" ".ogg" and ".mp3"s. Copy the .mp3 songs/files you want to the directory of your choice, ie: ~/Desktop/songs and when you have enough, use K3B to assemble a data CD and burn them of for you.

Tadah! One MP3 disc to keep you, er i mean to keep your granny amased for hours at a time. :D

If your using windows, there might be a similar proceedure, but windows is far too wierd for me, so i have no idea what works best under that OS

With a media program rip it to your hard drive in mp3 format.

Insert your mp3 player into a USB plug on your computer.

Copy the music files to the mp3 player.
