| 399638 | 2005-10-27 01:06:00 | this is taken with either a 2mp or 3mp camera. imagef1.x10hosting.com Personally I consider it a whole lot of bull, From what I can see the lens and the quality of the camera has more to do with it then the MP count. No comment on the absurdity of comparing a phone with a camera.... |

Just cause a camera is capable of 3MP doesn't mean the quality will be great I've seen crap photos from cheaper 5+MP cameras Each camers will have it's own featureset that will determine the quality Lenses individual manufacturers use are usually the biggest factor You need to do some homework and school up on what's available This is one of my favs for reviews http://www.steves-digicams.com/ |

AT 6 x 4, you won't notice a lot. Theres heaps of factors that come into the quality, not just mp size. Including the skill level of the photographer. |

I've had to stop myself laughing when people tell me "oh but my camera is 5 MP" but I ask them "Do you use the RAW mode?" (and get blank looks). And to top it all off, they download the photos and look at them on a crappy CRT or a LCD that has poor colours :yuck: |

| 399642 | 2005-10-27 02:21:00 | I have a 3MP as a little cam to my 6MP SLR. The D70 is not that much of a cam when you get spoiled by some of the top model cheaper film SLRs.. that D2x is sooo nice  3MP is able to get A4 without any issues, undoutedly much bigger dependent upon how far are they seen when framed. 6MP I have heard pple printed 20x30 inches. Best for a range of samples at their max size JPG or RAW or TIF files is to go to www.dpreview.com and look at samples. Thus you can sample a whole range. If you wanna see how big can print, put in the resolutions into Photoshop or some other software by 72 dpi and use upsample by 100%. This is not a problem and you should see no deterioration in quality, if you are to see it from afar like on a framed on the wall, get go much higher. |

| 399645 | 2005-10-27 08:23:00 | A fews years ago I was given a Fuji Axia 1.3mp. I was quite impressed with the quality. 2 months ago I decided to upgrade and bought a Pentax sv 5mp and 5 optical zoom. Now I am having great fun as I can take a photo from 25mm from the subject. When I try to email photos (on dial up) it takes ages. My conclusion:- I think I would have been better off to pick a lower pixel and have greater macro facilities,(optical zoom..forget digital) but all other points noticed like lens quality ect. |

Learn how to resize the pixel dimensions for emailing. XP, Picassa or Irfanview all can do that. |
