If you consider the consequences of not complying, then it's worth every byte. BTW, emails have a legal standing as a broadcast (ie, published material), they can also, now, have a similar standing as faxes as a legitimate means of communication (ie, a notification), where not so many years ago I don't think this was so. Your best defence is to be careful what you say and where you send any communication and, to return to sender un-opened any mail sent to you in error and delete unread any emails you receive in error. Not too hard really. |
